Government Properties Income Trust (NYSE: GOV) is a real estate investment trust, or REIT, which owns 71 properties, 55 of which are leased primarily to the U.S. Government and 15 of which are leased to the States of California, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota and South Carolina, respectively. Our properties contain approximately 9.0 million rentable square feet and are located in 29 states and the District of Columbia. Most of our properties have been continuously occupied by government tenants since the properties were first acquired, developed or redeveloped.

GOV was founded and our shares were listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2009. We have been investment grade rated since 2010 and we are included in the Russell 2000® Index and the MSCI US REIT Index (RMS/RMZ).
