Barry M. Portnoy
Managing Trustee
Mr. Portnoy has been one of our Managing Trustees since our formation. Mr. Portnoy also serves on the Board of CommonWealth REIT, Hospitality Properties Trust, Senior Housing Properties Trust, Select Income REIT, the RMR Funds, Five Star Quality Care, Inc. and TravelCenters of America LLC. Prior to devoting his full time to RMR and its affiliated companies in 1997, Mr. Portnoy was a Partner and served as Chairman of the law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP. As a lawyer and businessman, Mr. Portnoy has structured, negotiated and documented over $20 billion of real estate transactions over a 30 year period.

Adam D. Portnoy
Managing Trustee
Mr. Portnoy has been one of our Managing Trustees since our formation. Mr. Portnoy also serves on the board of CommonWealth REIT, Hospitality Properties Trust, Senior Housing Properties Trust, Select Income REIT and the RMR Funds. Mr. Portnoy currently serves on the Board of Governors for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Occidental College.  Prior to 2003, Mr. Portnoy held positions as a banker and venture capitalist with the International Finance Corp., a member of the World Bank Group, ABN AMRO and Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette.

John L. Harrington
Independent Trustee
Mr. Harrington has been one of our Independent Trustees since our formation. Mr. Harrington is Chairman of the Board's Audit Committee. Mr. Harrington also serves on the Boards of Hospitality Properties Trust, Senior Housing Properties Trust and the RMR Funds. Mr. Harrington was the CEO of the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club until 2002, and is currently the Executive Director and Chairman of the Yawkey Foundation and a trustee of the JRY Trust. Mr. Harrington is a certified public accountant.

Barbara D. Gilmore
Independent Trustee
Ms. Gilmore has been one of our Independent Trustees since our formation. Ms. Gilmore is Chairman of the Board's Compensation Committee. Ms. Gilmore also serves on the boards of Five Star Quality Care, Inc. and TravelCenters of America LLC. Ms. Gilmore has served as a clerk to Judge Joel B. Rosenthal of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Western Division of the District of Massachusetts, since August 2001. Ms. Gilmore is a registered nurse and practiced and taught nursing for several years before attending law school.

Jeffrey P. Somers
Independent Trustee
Mr. Somers has been one of our Independent Trustees since our formation. Mr. Somers is the Chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committees of our Board of Trustees. Mr. Somers also serves on the Boards of Senior Housing Properties Trust, Select Income REIT and the RMR Funds. Mr. Somers is a partner of the law firm of Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton, PC of Waltham, MA.
