David M. Blackman
President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Blackman has been our President and Chief Operating Officer since 2011. He was our Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer from our formation until 2011. Mr. Blackman was employed as a banker at Wachovia Corporation and its predecessors for 22 years, focused on real estate finance matters, including serving as a Managing Director in the real estate section of Wachovia Capital Markets, LLC from 2005 through January 2009.
Mark L. Kleifges
Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kleifges has been our Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer since 2011. Mr. Kleifges oversees all of GOV's accounting and financial reporting activities. Mr. Kleifges is a certified public accountant and prior to 2002 was a partner in the Real Estate and Hospitality Services Group of Arthur Andersen LLP.
Vern D. Larkin
Director of Internal Audit
Mr. Larkin has been our Director of Internal Audit since 2012. Mr. Larkin was employed previously by Five Star Quality Care, Inc. as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Prior to that, Mr. Larkin practiced law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP specializing in corporate securities, merger and acquisitions, corporate governance and other transactional matters for more than 12 years.
Jennifer B. Clark
Ms. Clark has been our Secretary since 2008. Ms. Clark supervises legal affairs affecting GOV. Prior to 1999, Ms. Clark was a Partner at the law firm of Sullivan & Worcester LLP.
